Presbyterian Health Education and Welfare Association
equips individuals and communities for lives of dignity
and hope through the educational resources, peer support
and public advocacy of its ten member networks.

3Welcome to Presbyterian Health Network.

We are a diverse group of health care professionals and health care consumers who believe that the church, “as the body of Christ, is called to be a community of health and healing in every level and location of its common life.” (Call to Healing and Wholeness, 2007th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA).

The Presbyterian Health Network (PHN) lives out this belief by providing up-to-date resources for parish nurses, clergy, church sessions, and congregations to assist them with wellness education within the context of our faith and to respond to health advocacy needs in our congregations and communities.

We have a long history of health ministry within the PCUSA. If you have a parish nurse in your congregation, you might be interested to know that Presbyterian parish nursing originated in this organization. If you’re thinking about starting a parish nurse program, we are the folks you want to talk to!

We, the members of PHN, would love to put our health ministry knowledge and experience to work in your service. Some of our resources are accessible on these web pages. Feel free to download and use them. If you have questions that need a personal response however, please email us and someone will be calling you back within a short time.

Blessings and wholeness,
