What is PHEWA?
"Do justice, love mercy . . ."
The Presbyterian Health, Education and Welfare Association,  established in 1956 by action of the General Assembly, has always stood at the intersection of justice and health.  With the core value of "nothing about us without us," our networks are committed to grassroots partnerships that bring everyone to the table:   professionals, consumers and family members. The result is ministry that is both collaborative and transformative.

Part of our grassroots partnership initiative involves the establishment of network chapters in local congregations and presbyteries. These chapters relate directly to the individual network as well as being part of the larger PHEWA community. Download our informational power point,, "PHEWA: Inspire. Equip. Connect" or contact us at for more information.
